The Riviera Theatre

Our name is inspired by the history of the building itself which opened in 1925 as a motion picture theatre in the then fashionable West Adams district of Los Angeles. During a full renovation and restoration of the building several old liquor bottles and newspapers were found inside the walls . Several local neighbors told their stories of how after midnight the theatre became a speakeasy with machine gun men in the roof.
