The Riviera Theatre was built in 1925 as a moving picture theatre in the then fashionable West Adams district of Los Angeles. During a full renovation and restoration of the building several old liquor bottles and newspapers were found inside the walls. Local neighbors shared their stories of how after midnight the theatre became a speakeasy during the Prohibition years.
